The SMW station is designed to receive liquid and solid waste from cleaning pumping stations, sewage systems and other installations such as road sweepings, gully waste.They are cleaned waste contains mineral particles, rganic matter and other coarse solids like wood, metals, glass. The sewage is transported to the installation by the septic vehicles. Depending on the number of discharges received, we design and make an installation tailored to the individual needs of the user. The innovation of the ENKO solution is based on the separation of the liquid fraction from the solid immediately after being discharged into the hopper, which significantly speeds up the entire cleaning process. Separation takes place through a rotating drum from where liquid waste goes to a sand washer and the solid fraction is fed by a spiral conveyor for further processing.
 
The installation of the sand separation and washing station consists of the following devices:
  • hopper secured with a grate with a rotating drainage drum and a screw conveyor
  • drum separator,
  • sand pulp pumps,
  • screw conveyors,
  • sand washer separator,
  • the control room of the entire installation.
 
Principle of operation:
 
A stainless steel hopper with a specific capacity (to be agreed with the user) is installed underground, enabling the discharge of pollutants onto the grate above the hopper. Coarse debris with a diameter greater than 15 cm is retained on the grate, and the finer debris falls into the funnel. In the hopper, the liquid fraction is initially separated from the solid through a draining rotary drum. The liquid fraction goes to the sand washer and the solid contaminants from the funnel are transported to the drum separator. The contaminants separated in the separator (with a diameter greater than 10 mm) are transported by a screw conveyor to the container. Minor impurities
(mainly sand contaminated with organic compounds) is fed by a pump to the sand washer separator. The washed sand is discharged into the container.

  • For the discharge of contaminated sand pulp delivered. After dropping on the rotating drum, the liquid phase is removed from the delivered material. At the bottom of the tank there is a horizontal screw conveyor to discharge the pre-dewatered solid fraction to the drum separator.

Whirlwind washing-sand separator WPP-WASHMEM - description.
 
The sand separator with washing is a compact device that combines the functions of a sand separator and a sand washer. It ensures high-efficiency separation of sand from sewage with simultaneous rinsing of organic substances from the sand pulp. The washed sand is dewatered before being discharged into the container. It is used due to insufficient rinsing
sand retained in sand traps, and for a more efficient sand pulp cleaning process. The device is made of stainless steel. In version
basic is prepared to work in a heated room.
 
The device consists of a tank to which sewage with sand pulp is fed through an inlet pipe, a stirrer, a rinsing panel, a screw conveyor transporting the washed-out
sand for the container, organics drain valve and control system with hydrostatic sand level sensor. The organic and mineral particles sedimented in a swirling motion fall to the bottom of the device into the washing zone, where the organic parts are washed out of the sand during the water flow process supported by the mixer. The released organic parts are discharged from the tank through the organics connector with an electric valve. The washed sand is extracted by an auger feeder. During transport, the sand is gravitationally dewatered. The mechanically pretreated sewage flows to the outside of the device through the overflow edge.
